JAMMU, Feb 24: Domana police arrested a man for raping a girl.
As per police sources, a 21-year-old girl lodged a complaint with Police Station Domana stating that a man identified as Ankit Salgotra, son of Krishan Lal, a resident of Dream City, District Jammu allegedly raped her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 55/2021 under Section 376 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
After conducting medical examination, the girl was handed over to family members.
On specific information, a team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma arrested the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
