UDHAMPUR, Feb 24: Dr. Daleep Pandita, former Regional Manager of New India Assurance Company, a public sector company, Government of India delivered lectures on Financial Literacy, Bank Frauds and Insurance frauds during week long orientation course for officers of Crime Branch held at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, (SKPS), Udampur.
The main objective of these lectures was to create financial literacy and to update crime branch officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police on unseen frauds committed in connivance with insurance companies, their representatives and the public by manipulating financial liabilities.
About 35 participants across Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir participated in these interactive sessions to gain knowledge about financial literacy that will prove helpful at their field level in reducing economic crime effectively. It was elaborated in details by Dr. Pandita through various audio visual examples, during which the participating officers cleared their legal doubts which they usually face while conducting investigation in bank and insurance frauds.
Course Director, Vikram Parihar while terming the lectures of Dr. Pandita very informative presented him with a memento as a token of appreciation on behalf of Director and all ranks of SKPA at the end of this programme.
