Man arrested for providing forged documents of colleges to students

JAMMU, Jan 5: Bahu Fort Police arrested a man for providing forged documents of different colleges of Punjab to the students of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per police sources, an information was received at Police Station Bahu Fort that a person namely Imran Akram, son of Mohammad Akram of Gurdhain Pain District Rajouri, at present Bagh-e-Bahu provides forged degree, diplomas and registration certificates of different colleges of Punjab to students of JK UT for earning profit.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 7/2022 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 472 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali reached on the spot and arrested the said person red-handed when he was engaged in selling fake documents to his customers.
During search, 54 fake degree, diplomas and marks cards of different colleges of Punjab viz stamps of different colleges were recovered. A press card (Managing Director Awaz-e-Pir Panjal) was also recovered from his possession.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO City East Sajad Sarwar.
