Man arrested for issuing fake orders, extortion of money

RAJOURI, July 20:  The police arrested one person from Kashmir for cheating innocent people from Rajouri and Poonch by extorting huge money by luring them for job in J&K Bank and issuing fake orders.
The police arrested accused today from Kulgam in Kashmir. He has  been identified as Sartaj Ahmed, son of Ghulam Ahmed Bhat, resident of Qaimoh in Kashmir. The police took action on the complaint of one Bader Hussain, son of Booba, resident of Dadian village in Darhal. He alleged that Sartaj assured him to manage jobs in J&K bank for his son- Farooq and daughter- Razia and he paid total Rs 7.20 lakh in three installments to Sartaj but he provided fake orders. The Bank rejected the orders telling them as fake. He was not responding to their phone calls since long.
ASP Rajouri Mohd Yousuf taking cognizance of the matter deputed  police party to Kashmir which nabbed the accused today. Five more persons have reported to police that Sartaj had extorted money with over Rs 20 lakh from them for managing jobs for their wards in the JK Bank. The police has started investigation into the case.
