JAMMU, June 28: A man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in field in Manyal Brahmana area, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Jagdish Raj, son of Munshi Lal, a resident of Manyal Brahmana District Jammu. He was admitted in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) yesterday, where he failed to respond to the treatment and died today morning.
After conducting autopsy, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
Kanachack Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
