Sir,
On Tuesday 23.12.2014, I visited Govt Hospital Sarwal as I was suffering from throat infection. As per hospital norms, I went to get my Out Patient Card so that I can consult the doctor. I gave Rs 10/- on the counter and the person sitting there told me that they have no balance and he did not return me Rs 5/- as the Out Patient Card fee is Rs 5/-.
I told him that this is their responsibility to return the balance to the people who are asking for the Out Patient Card. The person concerned retorted that ” I should not say such words again.”
At the counter they are collecting Rs 10/- instead of Rs 5/- from most of the people and say to all that they do not have the change to return the balance money.
The State Govt should take a serious note of this malpractice. Say on a specific day if 100 people visited hospital, in that case the concerned people may be taking away Rs 500/- or more each day in their pocket alongwith the salaries from the State Govt as well.
Though Rs 5/- does not matter in these days but a wrong practice is always wrong.
Yours etc…
