Malhotra listens public grievances, assures early redressal

JAMMU, Dec 30: Senior Congress leader and former National general secretary, All India Youth Congress, Vikram Malhotra held a public darbar at Shri Sanatan Dharam Higher Secondary School, Jullaka Mohalla, here today, in which residents of the area highlighted their problems related to civic amenities
The residents complained about erratic and unclean supply of drinking water in the area, besides lack of proper sanitation in the locality. They alleged that despite installation of digital meters, unscheduled power cuts are imposed that too in the ongoing harsh winter season. They demanded proper cleanliness drive on daily basis in the entire area and streamlining the water and power supply and installation of dustbins in the area to tackle the issue of waste and garbage.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Malhotra assured that he would take up all the stated issues with the concerned departments of PHE, PDD and Jammu Municipal Corporation for their early redressal.
Later, Vikram Malhotra also visited historic Shri Ram Talai Mandir in Jullaka Mohalla, where the local residents highlighted the problem of cleanliness in the temple complex including the ancient pond built in front of the temple.
Malhotra assured to take up further development of the temple and sanitization of the pond.
