JAMMU, Oct 17: Security concerns of migrants, non migrants and other minorities of Kashmir were discussed at an interactive session by KP activists at Roop Nagar today.
The security aspect of PM package employees working in Valley and other non Kashmiri migrants have raised serious concern all over UT and other parts of the country in view of continuous selected and targeting killings of minorities in the Valley for last several weeks, the meeting said.
The most of participants in the meeting had come from Valley and they urged the Government to take adequate preventive measures for protecting unarmed minorities living or working in Kashmir and also impress upon the Government to handle the Kashmir situation in such a way that no such incident of selective and targeted killings takes place in future.
The speakers said apart from strengthening the security grid, the Central Government must take all other measures that rekindles the old age practice of secular ethos of J&K especially in Valley. They also demanded that the jobs of PM package employees be made transferable in any part of the UT or other parts of the country.
The meeting was organised by M K Yogi and those who attended it included Prof A N Sadhu, Dr Ramesh Bhat, R K Bhat, Vinod Pandita, T K Dhar , A K Dhar, Shadi Lal Pandita, Sanjay Dhar , Sunil Pandita, B K Bhat, Amit Koul and T K Bhat.
