Make arrangements for teaching Urdu in Govt-private schools: ATUH

JAMMU, June 12: Anjuman Taraqqi Urdu Hind, (ATUH) J&K has asked State Government to make arrangements for teaching Urdu in Government and private schools of the State.
According to handout issued by Anjuman Taraqqi Urdu Hind, J&K, Prem Choudhary, orgainizing  secretary has showed concerned about Urdu in a meeting of prominent persons which is a State language but is not being taught in Government as well as private schools of the State, particularly in areas of Jammu, with the result that most of the students are deprived of acquainting themselves with Urdu language which creates difficulties in their future prospects.
He added that Urdu is a State language and Government is under an obligation to make arrangements for its teaching in the schools.
Other present on the occasion were Meharban Singh, Aditya Sharma, Sunil Khajuria, Amit Gupta, Deepak Mahajan, Meet Kumar, Dr Harish Kaila and Rajinder Kumar.
