Major fire in shopping complex in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, May 31: A major fire broke out in Nawai-e-Subh shopping complex of opposition National Conference (NC) in the Zero Bridge area of the city today.
Official sources said the NC headquarter is also located in one side of the complex. Fire tenders were rushed from different parts of the city, including fire headquarter Batmaloo. A number of gas cylinders also exploded with the result fire spread to major part of the complex.
However, the NC headquarter was not damaged in the fire which started at 0630 hrs, they said adding further details are awaited.
