SRINAGAR: The State Government today effected a major administrative reshuffle transferring 40 senior bureaucrats including 21 IAS officers.
The transfers and postings were approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here, an official spokesman said,
Prominent among the officers transferred is Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Shailendra Kumar who has been posted as Commissioner Secretary to the Government in the department of Tourism and Culture.
Kumar has been replaced by Rohit Kansal who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, the spokesman said. (AGENCIES)
