JAMMU, Nov 26: All Migrants Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) in a meeting held at Jagti township today under the leadership of its president, Desh Rattan demanded that National Registration Certificate (NRC) be maintained in Jammu and Kashmir UT also as the same is need of the hour.
There are thousands of people living in J&K without any registration who are from outside the country like Bangladeshis and Rohingyas and if such people are not deported, this will create a problem for the people of the UT in future. Even some of them have established their small business establishments in various areas of UT as they were given full patronage by previous rulers of the State.
The meeting also demanded implementation of Ayushman Bharat Scheme for displaced Pandits. It made an appeal to Union Health Minister in this regard.
Addressing the meeting P N Jalali expressed concern over supply of impure drinking water to Jagti township and warned agitation if the steps were not taken to solve the problem.
