Mahotra accuses Congress of mocking people, ignoring ground realities

JAMMU, Nov 20: Dr Pardeep Mahotra, media incharge of the BJP J&K unit today launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, alleging that its leaders are now “openly mocking” both their own century-old organisation and the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
He said Congress leadership has become “completely disconnected” from ground realities and even from basic historical facts.
Reacting to recent remarks by AICC General Secretary and J&K Incharge Dr Sayeed Naseer Hussain, Dr Mahotra said Congress leaders have long considered themselves above facts, a mindset that has pushed the party into political irrelevance.
“The senior leader appeared clueless about J&K’s socio-political landscape, while local Congress leaders have failed to brief him on the transformative changes after 2019,” he added.
Dr Mahotra also criticized Congress leaders for frequently citing the Indian Constitution, stating that before 2019 the Constitution was not fully implemented in J&K, depriving several targeted groups of welfare benefits.
“So, does the Congress really respect the Constitution?” he asked.
