JAMMU, July 23: Maharaja Agrasen University won the 2nd CCI Technology Excellence Award 2014 announced by Gujarat Technological University Innovations SANKULS, Consortium of Co-Chairpersons (Industry) CCI and CMAI Associations of India.
The award was presented to Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof (Dr) SP Bansal by Bhupendra Singh, Minister of Education, Government of Gujarat in presence of other dignitaries such as Ambassadors of Nigeria, Malawi, Indonesia and Afghanistan at a special award ceremony held at Gujarat Technological University (GTU).
Suresh Gupta, Project In-charge of the University, also attended the award ceremony.
Dr Nand Kishore Garg, the Chancellor of the University congratulated Prof SP Bansal on this achievement and expected that the University will continue to touch new heights.
During the conversation with the Vice Chancellor, Prof Bansal, Ambassadors of Nigeria and Afghanistan promised to visit the University and facilitate the signing of MoU’s with the Universities of their respective countries.
After the award ceremony, All India Vice Chancellor’s meet was organized in which Prof Bansal addressed the Vice Chancellors.
In his speech Prof Bansal enforced on the quality of education and expressed his concern on the commercialization of education. He emphasized on the incorporation of value based education along with higher education. He also delivered his opinion and briefed the Vice Chancellor’s and briefed the Vice Chancellor’s meeting about the innovative practices that have been practicing in Maharaja Agrasen University.
