JAMMU, Jan 16: Mahant Rohit Shastri, President, Shri Kailakh Jyotish Evam Vedic Sansthan Trust, today met Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department, Sanjeev Verma, and discussed with the latter the promotion of Sanskrit language in J&K.
Besides, Shastri also discussed the welfare of the Sanskrit students and scholars with the Commissioner Secretary.
In a statement, Shastri said that Sanskrit carries with it the concept of Akhand Bharat and the thread ensuring the unity in diversity that underpins the unique Indian civilisation and culture that his trust is committed to preserve and promote.
The statement further said that Verma hailed the contribution of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Evam Vedik Sansthan Trust in promotion of the Sanskrit language.
On the occasion, Shastri presented an annual Patrika, Kartavya Marg to the Commissioner Secretary, GAD.
