JAMMU, Nov 21: Mahant Rohit Shastri today met with Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and urged him to start teaching of Sanskrit language from sixth standard in all schools across J&K from the upcoming academic session.
Rohit Shastri, president of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan Trust, Raipur Bantalab Jammu, had a courteous meeting with Advisor Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar in the Civil Secretariat, here.
During the meeting, Shastri presented the “Saral Sanskrit Bodh” Book to the Advisor and appealed him to initiate the teaching of Sanskrit language from the sixth grade in all the schools of the Union Territory. He emphasized the commitment of his trust to the preservation and enhancement of Sanskrit, a language deeply rooted in ancient Indian knowledge and literary tradition.
It is noteworthy that special efforts are being made by Shrikailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, under the leadership of Mahant Rohit Shastri, to start the study and teaching of Sanskrit language from the sixth grade in schools of J&K.
