JAMMU, July 11: A significant religious event was held today at Baba Surgal Dev Sthan, Narwal Mandi, where Mahant Mohan Bharti , general secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Sant Samaj Nyas, was appointed as the new head priest .
The ceremony witnessed the presence of key office bearers of the Sant Samaj Nyas, including president Mahant Shanti Giri Ji Maharaj, vice president, Ram Narayan Das Shastri, Mahant Rajesh Bittu Org general secretary, Goshala president, Rajkumar Gupta , Rajesh Giri, Mahant Jasmer Jangam, Mahant Som Giri, Mahant Krishna Anand and Swami Soma Anand.
Mahant Jyoti Saroop Katra besides devotees and saints from Katra, Udhampur and Jammu participated in the function.
A grand Shiv Vivah was organized by the Jangam sect, followed by a Yagya and community feast (Bhandara), where all saints actively participated. The event was marked by devotion, unity and spiritual fervor.
