JAMMU, June 21:  Religious personality Mahant Manjit Singh ji of  Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch was honoured at a grand religious function held in connection with the 350th year foundation day of Sri Anandpur Sahib in Punjab.
The SGPC Amritsar  and its president Jathedar Avtar Singh has specially invited the Mahant Manjit Singh ji of Dera Nangali Sahib, as head of the Sikh community from J&K State. He was honoured  by Giani Mal Singh Jathedar of Sri Kesgarh Sahib and Jathedar Iqbal Singh of Patna Sahib by presenting `Siropa’.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal and Dy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, BJP national president Amit Shah and several cabinet Ministers of Akali Dal and BJP besides many legislators and SGPC members were also present on the occasion. Lakhs of devotees from various States and even abroad participated in this grand religious function.
The religious leaders of various communities including Hindu, Muslims, Christians, and Yog Guru Baba Ramdev also delivered speeches on the occasion. The leaders of various Sikh bodies from J&K including Sikh Welfare Society, Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Sikh United Front and  BKNSS also participated in this religious programme.
