JAMMU, Dec 30: Mahajayanti of Swami Chaman Lal Bamzai was celebrated with religious gaiety as ‘Guru Paryan’ Divas, under the patronage of Gurumata, Nirmala Bamzai at Swami Nand Bab Sahib Ashram, Lale-da-Bagh, here today.
A mahayagya for ‘jagat kalyan’ was performed on the occasion, which commenced with first ‘suhakar’ yesterday evening and concluded today with ‘puran ahoti’, followed by prashad vitran.
Hundreds of devotees thronged the Ashram to seek the blessings of Swami Je, foremost disciple of Swami Nand Bab Sahib.
Prominent among others who attended the mahayagya and spoke on the occasion were Anand Sawmi Prannath Bhat ‘Gareeb’, Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram, Dr Susheel Wattal and Jai Kishan Ji.
While Swami ‘Gareeb’ threw light on guru-shishya relation with his religious discourses, Swami Kumarji talked about the importance of saints from the times immemorial.
President of the Ashram Ramesh Kumar Talashi was present on the occasion, while Vikram Koul, Publicity Secretary presented vote of thanks.
