Maha Shivratri: Secy reviews preparations for Dharmarth Trust temples, shrines

JAMMU, Jan 19: Ashok Kumar Sharma (SSP Retired), Secretary J&K Dharmarth Trust today reviewed preparations and arrangements to be made in the temples and shrines ahead of Maha Shivratri falling on February 18.
In this context, A K Sharma convened a meeting of managers and assistant managers of temples and shrines situated in the periphery of Jammu here at Jammu Central Office of Dharmarth Trust. Managers and assistant managers of Purmandal, Utter Behni, Raghunath ji Temple Jammu, Ranbireshwar Temple Sudh Mahadev, Mantalai, Shiv Temple Nagrota and Shiv Temple Satwari were present in the meeting.
The Secretary gave the standing instructions to the participants of the meeting to ensure timely repairs and renovation of the religious destinations besides facilitating the devotees on the occasion of Maha Shivratri as it is likely that a large number of pilgrims would throng these temples.
Besides, the Secretary also asked the managers and assistant managers of the shrines/temples to arrange good number of blue and green dustbins to be placed at suitable places for ensuring cleanliness. Another important issue which came for discussion in the meeting was about installation of CCTV cameras at all the temples to maintain vigil against trouble mongers and anti-national elements as security is also a big concern these days in the Union Territory.
