JAMMU, Jan 29: Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Arun Manhas convened a meeting to discuss the arrangements for Maha Shivratri festival.
The ADC directed the concerned officers to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in time for Shivratri. He stressed that there should be no shortage of essential commodities and amenities for the festival.
Health Department was asked to provide ambulances to accompany the jhankis/ procession. PDD was asked to provide uninterrupted power supply while JMC was directed to ensure proper sanitation around temples likely to be thronged by the devotees.
Arrangements with regard to traffic, security, barricading and along the procession route were also reviewed.
Concerned officers and representatives of various religious organizations attended the meeting.
