SRINAGAR, May 2: BJP’s Mass Contact programmes (Maha Samparak programmes) were organised today by BJP Kashmir unit at Town Hall, Pulwama and Shopian, which were chaired by Ashok Koul, State general secretary (Organisation) alongwith party MLCs Ramesh Arora and Sofi Yousuf.
The main motive of these programmes is taking stock of membership drive which has reached three lakhs in Kashmir, out of which is 1.10 lakh members are from South Kashmir.
Ashok Koul, while addressing prominent workers, said that they have to strengthen party more and more in Kashmir and in next elections they will get a large number of seats from Kashmir Province. He further said that our party has become world’s largest party with10. 4 crore members across the country and more than 6 lakhs from Jammu and Kashmir.
Ramesh Arora, while addressing party workers, said that BJP is getting stronger in Kashmir day by day. He urged party workers to work hard for strengthening the Party from grassroots.
Sofi Yousuf, while delivering his speech, said BJP is a party with difference and “we will ensure welfare for the people of every community”. He said “our aim is to make J&K corruption free state”. He further said BJP Ministers ,MLAs and MLCs will work round the clock for the betterment of common people.
Party leaders Nabi Dar, Muzaffar Katoo, Mohd Sidiq Khan and other leaders from South Kashmir also participated in the program.
