JAMMU, May 8: The Maha Jayanti of Zeshta Devi falls on May 12 (Panchmi of Zesht Krishnapkah). This has been stated by religious scholar and editor inchief of Vjeshwar Panchang , Pt Omkar Nath Shastri in a statement here, today. He said the Panchmi falls on May 12 and the Jayanti of Mata also falls on same day and not on May 11.
Meanwhile, the Prabhandak Committee of Zeshta Devi Srinagar president, Bharat Bushan has said that due to lockdown the Maha Yagya in connection with the celebration at Maha Jayanti of Mata at Zeathear, Srinagar stands cancelled and devotees will celebrate the Jayanti in their respective homes by performing pooja -archna.
