KISHTWAR, Aug 1 : The District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Saleem Mohammad convened a joint meeting of district/sectoral officers and management committee of Mata Chandi to finalise the arrangements for Machail Yatra-2012 to the Saphire Valley of Padder.
In the meeting, it was revealed that the Yatra will commence from August 1 of this year while as the Holy Chhari Mubarak will reach Kishtwar on August 18 2012 and leave for Padder on August 19.
The meeting also reviewed the arrangements made by district administration for the yatries which include security, drinking water facility, power supply, transport, accommodation, supply of ration items, medical facilities, fire fighting system availability and traffic management to avoid any mishap at halting places and enroute upto the Machail and back.
Besides others, superintendent of Police, Kulbeer Singh, Asstt Commissioner Revenue, A. K. Shavan, Assistant Commissioner Development, A. S. Raina, Chief Planning Officer, Subash Chander, Tehsildars of Kishtwar and Padder were also present in the meeting.
