JAMMU, Aug 18: The entire area of Machaaliaan – Nagbani has plunged into darkness for last five days after the local transformer developed a snag.
According to residents four transformers were replaced in the area during last five days and no one worked for even a day.
They said while entire nation was celebrating the Janamashtami festival and people have illuminated their houses and other public places the residents of the area faced complete blackout.
In a statement the residents demanded that power supply be immediately restored in the area failing which they will launch agitation.
