JAMMU, Aug 22: Lt Gen Subrata Saha, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Srinagar based 15 Corps is tipped to take up crucial assignment of Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) in the first week of September this year.
Official sources said the name of Lt Gen Saha has been cleared by the Defence Ministry and the Army Headquarters for the prestigious post.
Lt Gen SK Dua, presently posted in Army Headquarters, New Delhi, will take over as GOC of 15 Corps replacing Lt Gen Saha by the end of this month.
Lt Gen Saha will replace Lt Gen PR Kumar as the new DGMO of the Indian Army.
