JAMMU, Mar 1: General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Army’s Western Command Lt Gen Philip Campose today reviewed the security situation in Jammu.
Accompanied by his wife Sayona Philip, Lt Gen Campose visited Satwari Cantonment here today and reviewed security situation under Tiger Division, official sources said.
He was received by General Officer Commanding of Rising Star Corps Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi along with General Officer Commanding of Tiger Division Major General Dushyant Singh and his wife Usha Singh, who is also chairperson of Family Welfare Organisation of Tiger Division.
Usha briefed Sayona Philip about various welfare projects being implemented to improve the quality of life of families of jawans in various garrisons of Jammu.
During her visit to Asha School for Special Children, Sayona was touched by the efforts put into training to make them self reliant.
She exhorted the families of soldiers to empower the special children by using various welfare projects of the Army Wives Welfare Association.
In the afternoon, Lt Gen Campose left for Chandigarh.
