KATHUA, Aug 10: A legal awareness programme on POCSO and drug abuse was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kathua at DAV Collegiates School, Lacchipur, Kathua today in which the Justice Rajesh Bindal, Executive Chairman J&K State Legal Services Authority was the chief guest.
The programme was organized on the directives of Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Kathua, Pawan Dev Kotwal. On the occasion plantation drive was also held in the school ground in which the school children also participated with great enthusiasm.
A power point presentation on the topic child abuse with special emphasis on POCSO was also given by District Legal Service Authority Kathua Aarti Mohan. A skit on ill effects of drug abuse was presented by the members of Kala Kendra Kathua.
The welcome address was given by Pawan Dev Kotwal. The programme was also attended by member Secretary, State Legal Services Authority Akram Chowdhary, Chief Education Officer, Kathua and District Forest Officer, Kathua.
