JAMMU, Feb 22: Keeping in view the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Government has cancelled the sanctioned leaves of gazetted officers and has directed them to immediately report to their places of posting.
The leaves sanctioned on medical grounds, child care or for study purposes are however not cancelled.
The order further stated that no leave shall now be granted to the gazetted officers except in case of medical emergency.
The order asked all the officers to remain available at their headquarters or places of posting till the conclusion of elections.
