BJP always promoted social harmony: Ravinder Raina

JAMMU, Feb 22: State President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Ravinder Raina today said that his party has always promoted social harmony in the society.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing BJP SC Morcha meeting at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, near here, today attacked Congress for playing with the emotions of SCs for decades together. He said that previous governments led by Congress murdered democracy and deprived various communities of being empowered just for their vested political interests. He said that Congress exploited innocent people from all the castes, sects, regions and religions for petty political gains.
The programme was attended by State vice-president, former Minister and Morcha Prabhari, Dr. D. K. Manyal, member State Disciplinary Committee and senior leader, N. D. Rajwal, State spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, Morcha State president, Jagdish Bhagat and former MLA, Bharat Bhushan.
Raina claimed that in BJP, there is no caste based politics and party’s objective is to promote harmony in society. “We work for “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas” and we will not rest till we achieve this goal”. He also gave the examples of Maharishi Valmiki, Mata Shabri etc. and stressed that there was no caste based discrimination in Indian society earlier.
Raina, welcomed the new entrants in the party fold and expressed confidence that they will work sincerely for the extension of party activities in the region. He said that all the persons who want to do something good for the community, society and nation have strong urge to join BJP as all know that only BJP has the clean and clear intentions of making nation developed and prosperous.
Dr. D. K. Manyal, in his address, deliberated on various public welfare schemes especially initiated for uplifting the status of people belonging to the SC community. He said that with the joining of these prominent persons, SC Morcha is further strengthened. It will also boost the activities of the party in the Bishnah region. He said that these persons have rendered their useful services to the society as social workers till now and now in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, party will be benefitted by their services.
Morcha State general secretary, Dharminder Kumar conducted the proceedings.
District presidents M. L. Menia, Raghunandan, Nagarmal Salgotra, M. L. Rao, BD Naryal, HL Bhagat, Umesh Kumar Gabbar and others were amongst the prominent Morcha leaders present on the occasion.
