JAMMU, May 16: Lovely Professional University (LPU) has moved one step further this year and has decided to provide 100 per cent tuition and residential fee-waiver to top 20 students of Jammu and Kashmir of recognized central as well as state boards including, JKBOSE, CBSE, and ICSE.
Scholarships can be availed on all the undergraduate programmes offered by the University. Scholarship qualifier students remain on LPU scholarship scheme throughout the duration of their respective study-programme.
Scholarships are provided not only for illustrious achievements in academics but also in sports, social service, cultural, co-curricular activities, bravery-acts, research and development works. Meritorious students in diverse fields, from across India, can become a part of this league of extraordinary achievers this year-2019, as well. In last couple of years, LPU has also recognized the best students who have performed well at state/national or international sports activities.
LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal said, “LPU strongly strives to provide higher education to all meritorious students. We are happy to help students of other states also by providing them with this 100% scholarship assistance”.
“It is an honour to mention that this year Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited LPU, and our university has also been ranked amongst top universities in Government of India’s ‘NIRF 2019 Ranking’. I am also happy to see our students working with Google, Apple, Microsoft and more at a package of 1 crore and above. We have been able to make this positive for a larger number of students from across the state and the country”, he added.
“During the current admission session, some of the students Amir Mushtafa of Jammu, Nafia Imtiyaz of Anantnag, Shima Naaz of Akhnoor, Shazi Anwar of Achabal, Mohammad Arif of Basholi, Vishal Sharma of Jammu, Abdul Azeez of Gulmarg and Nazia Khatun of Srinagar, who have joined LPU BTech-MTech Integrated Program in Computer Science Engineering, BTech CSE (Hons), BSc-MSc BioTech, BPT-MPT Dual Degree, BTech Computer Applications and MSc Nutrition and Dietetics programmes respectively are all high scorers in their last qualifying boards. For them, LPU is the only university in the country which is going to shape them well, as per their aspirations and preferences. All of these selected students shared unanimously”, Mittal informed.
