Srinagar, Apr 28: Police have booked an LPG distributor and seized 80 cylinders for alleged illegal decanting in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said today.
Acting on specific inputs, Police Station Kakapora registered FIR No. 34/2026 against Firdous Ahmad Dar of Hajibal for allegedly transferring LPG from domestic cylinders to commercial ones to earn undue profits.
During investigation, police seized 35 domestic and 45 commercial cylinders linked to the operation.
Officials said the practice violated safety norms and posed risks to the public and informed that further investigation is underway.
