This has reference to the news item ‘Govt raises LPG cap to 9’ DE Jan 18.
The decision to raise the LPG cap to nine cylinders from six is more than welcome as it may bring relief to LPG users. The earlier decision had left the householders quite dismayed. There were protests against this decision throughout the country. The Government sensed the mood of people and took this important decision in the interest of consumers.
Now Government should direct the Gas distributing agencies to streamline the gas distribution process. Even now, the agencies refuse to supply gas through home delivery mechanism. They care two hoots for consumers complaints. At times they do not attend phone calls for booking a gas cylinder. We hope the Government, take note of the facts and directs the companies to streamline home delivery process.
