JAMMU, Mar 24: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) today reiterated its demand for release of 6% DA installment due since July 2015 in respect of State employees and pensioners.
In a statement issued here, LPEF State president, Abdul Majid Khan, said that due to delay in release of pending DA installment and continuous rise in prices of essential commodities, people, particularly employees and pensioners are unduly facing grave financial hardships.
“Therefore, it is requested to the Governor NN Vohra to please release pending 6 percent DA installment in favour employees and pensioners”, he added.
The LPEF president also stressed upon the Governor to allow rationees to draw ration goods from ration depots on producing old ration cards, as the Revenue authorities responsible for enlisting the rationees, have not been able to enlist majority of rationees majority of whom are employees, pensioners and other poor sections of the society despite the fact that NFSA has been implemented in the State from February this year.
