JAMMU, Mar 24: A nine-year old male child was crushed to death by a Tata Moori train near Railway Station Jammu.
According to a police spokesman, the mishap occurred at 2.45 pm on Wednesday when the child identified as Arsat Muni son of Nazar Hussain, a resident of FCI Granary, while playing near Loco Shed came in contact with fast moving moving Tata Moori train, adding the child died on the spot.
He said the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after completing all medico-legal formalities while a case in this connection was registered at police station GRP Jammu.
