JAMMU, Feb 4: Terming the State Government’s decision of impounding the arrears of 10% DA installment of its employees and pensioners into their GP Fund accounts, as a grave injustice to them, Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has demanded the Government to release the same in cash.
The Federation criticized the decision of the Government saying it is a deferred wage granted to neutralize the adverse impact of rising prices of essentials of life due to anti-people and anti-working class policies of Central and State Governments
The president of the Federation, Abdul Majid Khan, also a made a strong plea for immediate enhancement of minimum daily wage to Rs 300 and monthly medical allowance to Rs 1000 in view of steep hike in prices of essential commodities as well as medicare expenses.
