SAMBA, Feb 4: MLA Vijaypur Surjeet Singh Slathia today laid foundation stone for construction of Community Facility Centre (CFC) at village Chak Bakhan (Ramgarh) in Vijaypur constituency.
The CFC would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs.18 lakh out of Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that with the completion of CFC the people of the area would be able to conduct their social and religious functions.
Slathia said that the Omar led Coalition Government is committed to provide all the basic amenities to the people of the remote and far flung areas. He asked the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for further development of the State.
Later, Slathia inaugurated the main entry gate and construction of bath rooms at Kul Devi Amma Satiyan Dev Sthan of Slathia Biradhari at Gurah Slathian completed at the cost of Rs.6.50 lakh under Constituency Development Fund. He also paid obeisance at their Kul Devi Temple and prayed for peace and prosperity of the state.
