JAMMU, Jan 24: Bus Stand Police has returned lost purse to its owner.
As per police sources, yesterday, a team from Police Station Bus Stand while on patrolling duty found a lady’s purse containing valuable documents, cash, two rings, pair of ear ring and other personal belongings.
A team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector JJ Bhagat made public announcement and using CCTV footage of the area found the owner of the purse, who was identified as Anju Devi, wife of Harinder Gupta of Gorkhpur Uttar Pradesh.
The lady was a tourist returning after pilgrimage to holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and lost her purse at around 5:30 pm yesterday.
After completing all the legal formalities, the purse was handed over to the lady.
