Lone, Sagar inspect pace of work on new Legislative Complex

JAMMU, Nov 7: Speaker Legislative Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone alongwith Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar, today inspected the pace of work on new Legislative Complex coming up at a cost of Rs 113 crore.
MLA, West Professor Chaman Lal Gupta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, B. B. Viyas, Secretary Law G. H. Tantray, Secretary Assembly M. Ramzan, Managing Director JKPCC M. M. Gupta and other officers were present on the occasion.
The Speaker and the Minister went round the construction site and reviewed the progress on the prestigious complex. They inquired about the status of work and the expenditure incurred so far.
The Speaker directed the MD, JKPCC to speed up the pace of work on the   complex so that it is completed in a stipulated time frame. He asked JPKCC to fix targets and submit the progress report to the concerned on quarterly basis. Mr. Lone said that there will be no compromise on the quality of work and directed for use of standard material. He asked the executing agency to get quality check of iron and other material before using it.
Mr. Lone and Mr. Sagar directed the MD, JKPCC to make available requisite machinery and manpower at the site to avoid any type of hindrance in the construction work.
Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr Sagar asked the executing agencies to work on shift basis to achieve the target well in time.
Earlier, the Speaker chaired a meeting of the concerned departments  and reviewed the pace of progress. He was informed that the work on the project was in full swing and sufficient funds are available for the purpose.
