KATHUA, Apr 23: Lok Adalat-cum-legal awareness camp was organized by Tehsil Legal Services Committee Hiranagar under the chairmanship of Preet Simran Kour (chairperson tehsil legal Services Committee Hiranagar) in the premises of Munsiff Court Complex Hiranagar on Monday.
To settle the cases in the Lok Adalat a bench comprising of Munsiff/JMIC Hiranagar Preet Simran Kour, senior advocate Thakur Ranjit Singh and Y P Sharma, Bar president Hiranagar was constituted. They were assisted by Ashok Sharma and Sohan Singh as negotiators.
Prosecuting Officer Jai Pal Singh was present on behalf of the state. A total number of nine cases were taken up out of which four cases were settled. A large number of people including litigants, women, children attended the legal awareness camp.
