SAMBA, Apr 30: A Lok Adalat was organized here today at District Court complex Samba, under the chairmanship of M K Sharma, Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Session Judge) Samba, for taking up cases for settlement.
A total number of 76 cases were taken up by the Bench, out of which 74 cases were disposed of amicably and an amount of Rs 311050 was settled.
Three Benches were constituted for the said purpose. A Special Bench was constituted for taking up MACT & Bank cases, which was headed by M K Sharma and assisted by Advocate S K Kanmotra.
The second Bench was headed by Ajay Gupta, CJM Samba and assisted by Kamiya Singh Andotra, Addl Special Mobile Magistrate, Samba), The third Bench was constituted of Swati Gupta, Secretary DLSAS Samba and Jyoti Bhagat, Addl Munsif Samba).
The representatives of Banks, Insurance companies, Advocate and litigants participated in the Lok Adalat.
