Locals protest against failures of Govt departments

UDHAMPUR, Feb 2: Locals of Ward number 21 in Nagrota today protested against some departments, particularly PWD, PHE, Municipal Council, Diveka Project, Pollution Control and BDO Udhampur for their failure to provide basic needs to the locals.
Advocate Sanjeet Bavouria, Chairman Jan Sangharsh Sanstha , led the protest that was held in front of Radha Soami Satsang Ghar. They raised slogans against these departments and appealed to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take action against the erring officers.
“Complaints were also made to these departments many times in writing but till date no work has been done,” said Sanjeet Bavouria, adding that Jal Shakti Department was not providing regular supply of drinking water while the Municipal department has failed to make arrangements for cleanliness in the ward. “Diveka Project has caused uprooting the streets, which have turned into drains filled with water. The block department has also made many streets but not a single work has been completed,” he said and appealed LG Manoj Sinha to inquire about status of the works and money spent on the same.
The protest demonstration was also addressed by Ishtiaq Qazi, Mohan Lal, Rajinder Lambardar, Gulzar Master, Baldev Bhardwaj, Parbakar and Sahil.
