MENDHAR, Dec 29: The villagers and students today locked Govt High School, Suiyan in Balakote zone near the Line of Control and held protest against the Education department.
The students and their parents today locked the school between 11 am and 1 pm and started protest demonstration against ZEO Balakote, DyCEO Mendhar and CEO Poonch besides Director School Education, Jammu. They alleged that there is no Math and Science teacher in the school for the last three years and two teachers attached there few months back, were again withdrawn by the ZEO. They alleged that study of the students is badly hit with it.
Later, they talked to CEO Poonch on phone from the village. The CEO assured to restore teachers shortly. The people then lifted dharna and suspended protest.
