SAMBA, Jan 2: Lok Janshakti Party has refuted the news items carried in a section of the Press that its State Unit has merged into BJP.
In a statement issued by the Party it said Sanjeev Manmotra, who joined BJP yesterday, was not the president of the State Unit of LJP. The statement said that Rafiq Wani is the State president of Party. Apart from the State President, Ravi Tikku as National general secretary of Youth Wing, Ramesh Lal as the President of Dalit Sena, Mudassir Wani as the State youth president, Bhupinder Singh as State Youth Working president (Jammu Region), Shyam Lal Gupta as secretary general, Swarna Devi as Womens Wing president and Manoj Pandita as Minority President are actively working for Party in the State.
It said Sanjiv Manmotra was divested of all the functions and Party position from last three months because of anti-party activities. He has reportedly joined BJP yesterday as a single person and no other office bearers of Lok Jan Shakti Party have gone in BJP.
