Little chance for home coming of expelled MLAs: BJP Gen Secy

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Sept 20: BJP will stick to its decision on the seven MLAs who were expelled from the Party for cross voting in favour of National Conference (NC) and Congress in Legislative Council elections on April 13 last year irrespective of the decision of State Assembly Speaker.
This was stated by National general secretary of the Party, Kiran Maheshwari while responding to a question during interaction with media persons here this afternoon.
She said the Party and not the individual is important. The people voted in favour of Party in 2008 Assembly poll and not the individuals. So it is incumbent on every legislator to abide by the Party decision and he who violates the Party stand has to face the action.
She said the seven MLAs were expelled from the Party by High Command for defying the whip and it sticks to that irrespective of what decision the Assembly Speaker takes. Those who work against the Party can’t expect to get a fair deal as it is the Party and not the individual who matters.
Terming the UPA as a sinking ship she said the situation will be cleared within days as Mamta has withdrawn support. This Government is in Intensive Care Unit as the alliance is heading for a doom due to its wrong polices, she added.
