SRINAGAR, Oct 30: Various teams of Drug and Food Control Organization Kashmir conducted inspections of drug sale establishments during past three days at Anantnag, Verinag, Nowpoor, Kakpora, Rohumu, Naidkhai, Hajin, Wusan, Kangan, Shuhama, Ganderbal, Alsteng, Panduch, Pohru, BK Pora (Chadoora), Mochu, Kralpora, Gopalpora, Bugam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Jawahar Nagar, Bemina, Hyderpora, Barzulla, Sanat Nagar, Nowgam, Batmaloo, Civil Secretariat Dispensary, Drug stores of SMHS, JVC, Provincial Store Barzulla and Indian Red Cross Society Exchange Road Srinagar.
During the drive 163 drug sale establishments were inspected out of which licenses of M/s Geelani Medical Store Verinag, Junaid Medical store Verinag and Rehaan Medical Store Bemina were suspended for a period of three to six days for carrying out operations in unhygienic conditions.
Flood hit medicines were also confiscated and concerned were asked to destroy all flood hit medicines immediately.
