LIC employees donate Rs 2 lakh in Relief Fund

JAMMU, July 14: LIC Employees working in J&K under the banner of Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association (NZIEA) Srinagar Division affiliated to All India Insurance Employees’ Association (AIIEA) donated Rs. 2 lakh and one thousand in J&K Relief Fund for COVID-19.
Pawan Gupta, Divisional Secretary NZIEA accompanied by Romesh Chand and Rajesh Gupta, Joint Secretaries; Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Vice President; Raj Kumar Sharma, Treasurer; Neelam Sharma; Convener Women Sub Committee and others were also present on the occasion.
In a handout Rajesh Kumar and Raj Kumar said that AIIEA is an all India level association of LIC employees to which NZIEA is affiliated and it has always stood by the poor and needy.
They further said that till now, the units of AIIEA from across the country have remitted Rs. 5 crore to their respective Chief Ministers’ Relief Funds.
“Apart from this our units have spent over Rs 1 crore in undertaking direct relief distribution measures, taking the total collections from the employees close to a massive Rs 6 crore,” the handout maintained.
