JAMMU, Apr 5: Liaqet Mehmood has been appointed to the J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service through the Combined Competitive Examination -2012 following cancellation of the selection of another candidate on medical ground.
A formal order in this regard was issued today by GAD, according to which the selection has been made under ST category on creation of a vacancy following cancellation of the appointment of one Mohammad Izhar-ul-Haq, who did not challenge the Medical Board decision declaring him unfit for the job.
Earlier, while making recommendation to the effect of appointment of the selected candidates, the Public Service Commission mentioned that in the event of Mohammad Izhar-ul-Haq not exercising his right to appeal against the Medical Board decision or Government rejecting his appeal, Liaqat Mehmood, next in the order of merit with 1246 marks and belonging to ST category, will be eligible for being sent to the Medical Board and subsequently recommended for appointment against the post.
