POONCH, Apr 5: A BSF jawan deployed in Mandi area of Poonch on special election duty, today committed suicide by shooting self with his service weapon.
A police spokesman said that Constable Kastoor Singh from 100th Battalion of BSF and hailing from Rajasthan, used his own service rifle to commit suicide at his unit at around 5.30 pm today. With serious injuries he was rushed to local hospital where he was declared as dead. The police sent the body for postmortem and registered case in this connection.
