REASI, Nov 5: Life Insurance Agents Federation of India (LIAFI), Divisional Council organised Agents Annual Convention today.
On the occasion, All India President of the Federation SB Srinivasa Chary was the chief guest, while Satinder Singh Kala, vice president, HQ Delhi, RN Tiwari, north zone secretary and Moti Singh Risam, vice president north zone were guests of honour. Senior Divisional Manager DC Thakur, marketing manager Ashok Kumar Thakur, manager CLIA, RS Sambyal, manager sales, Jia Lal Sharma and regional president of National Federation of Insurance Field Workers Rakesh Magotra along with his colleges were also present. Divisional president of Agents Association Ravinder Kumar Sharma presided over the function.
Floral tributes were paid to the departed stalwarts like All India Founder Members of LIAFI and All India Secretary General late Ajoy Purokayastha, late Sat Pal Gupta and late Prem Sagar Sharma, who were the founder members of the Agents Association in J&K.
The convention started with the heart warming performance by the angels of Mother’s Pride and Joy Pre School, Gandhi Nagar.
While speaking, SB Srinivasa Chary elaborated about the charter of demands of the Agents Federation and Federations’ achievements regarding those demands. He voiced his concern against the Finance Ministry’s decision of imposing service tax on LIC policies and also stressed upon the abolition of TDS on maturity of the policies.
Chary called upon the agents community to fulfill the vision of LIC of India for insuring every citizen of India by 2020 and asked agents community to work day and night to achieve this goal. He also asked the management to provide medi claim facility to the agents and their families.
Vice president Satinder Singh Kala elaborated about the initiatives taken by the Headquarter Delhi to mitigate the problems of the agents community, while RN Tiwari, zonal secretary assured the president about the North Zone’s commitment to the LIAFI ideals and vision.
Divisional Manager DC Thakur while speaking outlined the corporation’s goal regarding agents welfare and policy holders protection, whileas marketing manager Ashok Kumar Thakur inform the agents about the unique features of the insurance product range available with LIC of India.
Founder members of LIAFI, senior agents like Dinesh Khanna, BL Dubey, RK Chirvi, Darbari Lal Verma, Pardeep Sharma, Avtar Singh, Ghanshyam Sharma, Inder Kour, SK Jaswal, Satish Sharma, Madan Lal Sharma, Rajinder Sharma, besides many others were also present on the occasion.
